ADAM J. BROWN

Experience

Adam is a shareholder and the director of professional development at CWK.  His legal work focuses on workers’ compensation law, primarily defending employers and insurers.  He represents clients in all aspects of workers’ compensation matters, from initial compensability questions through trials and appeals.

 

In addition to his legal work, Adam provides individualized coaching, training, real-time feedback, and skill-building support for the firm’s associates and other legal professionals.  He also provides business development support for the firm and assists with integral firm systems, including structural design and professional development.

 

Before starting with CWK Law, Adam spent nearly six years at the University of St. Thomas School of Law, where he served as Assistant Director of Career and Professional Development, managed the law school’s externship program, and taught courses in the externship and mentor programs.  Adam has also worked as a staff attorney at the Minnesota Workers’ Compensation Court of Appeals (WCCA), an attorney at Heacox Hartman, and a judicial law clerk at the Minnesota Court of Appeals.

 

Adam completed mediation and arbitration training in the state of Minnesota in November 2013.  He graduated from St. Thomas Law in 2006, magna cum laude, and he was a member of the McGee national civil rights moot court team while in law school.
